7th annual Private Equity Africa Awards in London

On Tuesday 12th June, I was delighted to attend the 7th Annual Private Equity Africa Awards, and present an award at the black-tie gala dinner, at the prestigious 5 star Langham Hotel in London.

Private Equity Africa is a UK-based leading financial media company that offers an integrated platform delivering information and events. The platform has grown to become Africa’s private equity industry utility on intelligent research, providing benchmarking and decision-making tools for LP and GP investors alike.

26 firms in total collected accolades for their investments and advisory services in Africa. The Venture Philanthropy Award that I was very proud to present went to Investec Asset Management, Papa Madiaw Ndiaye, the founding partner and Chief Executive Officer at AFIG Funds received the Outstanding Leadership Award, and Runa Alam, C-Founding Partner and CEO at DPI, who was awarded the Woman Investor Award.

The final winners were selected by an independent panel of highly respected industry participants, based on selections from the London Business School Private Equity Institute and the PEA Awards Nomination Team.

Congratulations to all of the winners, the event was a great success and the perfect opportunity for round-table discussions and healthy debate.
